Southwest Tour October 2003

Fall 2003 finds us in Utah for a two week exploration of its many national parks and monuments.  The trip lead off with an Elderhostel program: "Hiking Utah's Parks and Monuments.  On our own, we traveled Northern Arizona to see Grand Canyon National Park Toroweap region, Navaho National Monument, and Canyon de Chelly National Monument then returned to Utah to visit a small part of Canyonlands National Park.  Conclusions?  Its a spectacularly beautiful region of our country and its way more than one can adequately explore in two weeks -- or even two months for that matter!
