Our last stop in Tibet was a farm village on the outskirts of
Lhasa. It appeared to be a prosperous
village. The chief had a satellite antenna with which he was
supplying the residents with "cable" TV.
Yes, that's cow dung formed into patties and stuck to the walls of the
courtyard to dry. It is one of the
primary fuels for heating and cooking in this part of the world.
