What is eScrip?

  • eScrip (produced by San Mateo-based ESI, Inc.) is a fundraising tool, similar in concept to paper SCRIP.
  • Supporters register their own credit cards, ATM cards or grocery cards (e.g. Safeway Club Card) with eScrip.
  • Register using registration forms (available at the SCRIP table or in the office), by phone at 1-800-400-7878, or online at http://www.escripinc.com . FV's identification number is 136952020.
  • Supporters use registered cards to pay for merchandise at participating merchants (see eScrip merchant list on the eScrip website or pick up a copy at the SCRIP Table ). ESI intends to continually bring new merchants into the program.
  • Participating merchants donate a percentage of sales to Farallone View Ed Fund.

What cards can I register?

Safeway Club Card, ATM cards, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover cards, and others.



Is there any cost to register?

  • Yes, you pay a $10 annual fee (by check to eScrip, Inc. or charged to your credit card or the Ed Fund will pay the $10.00 if it is a hardship of any kind) to register as many of your cards as you wish.
  • There is no cost to the Ed Fund to participate in the program.

Why is Farallone View participating in the eScrip program?

  • Safeway (which accounts for over 50% of our SCRIP revenues) has switched to the eScrip program. Other merchants will likely follow.
  • Convenience: Supporters will no longer have to pre-purchase Safeway and other SCRIP from participating merchants. You will never "run out" of SCRIP.
  • Broader support: eScrip can be used by friends and family, and for different types of purchases such as travel or corporate-related expenses.

Will eScrip sell my name?

No. ESI states that they will not license, sell, exchange, or distribute any personally identifying information about eScrip participants to any third parties not directly involved with the eScrip program.

What is schoolpop.com?

Schoolpop.com is an online shopping service.



How does it work?

  • Visit http://www.schoolpop.com and use the search button to search for Farallone View Elementary. You will enter the Farallone View Mall.
  • From the FV Mall, link to any of the online merchants and then shop as you normally would.
  • Once you pay for your items, they will be shipped to your home.
  • Farallone View Ed Fund will receive up to 20% of the purchase price at no extra cost to you.

Schoolpop.com states that they hold all information with the strictest confidentiality. In addition, they state that they have selected merchants who use the latest technology in all of their purchase transactions.
