Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express.
- Goto the "Tools" menu and select "Message Rules."
- Select "Block Sender List."
- Click "Add" and enter the Email address into the "Address" box. You can block messages by either a specific Email sender (ie, "joe@hotmail.com") or you can block an entire domain (ie, "hotmail.com"). Remember, if you supply only the domain name then you will not receive Email from anyone at that domain.
- Click "OK" to save the filter.
Eudora
- Open Eudora.
- Goto the "Tools" menu and select "Filters."
- Click the "New" button to create a new filter.
- Check the "Incoming" checkbox.
- Select "From:" from the "Header" drop menu.
- Select "Contains" from the next drop menu.
- Enter the Email address into the text box. You can block messages by either a specific Email sender (ie, "joe@hotmail.com") or you can block an entire domain (ie, "hotmail.com"). Remember, if you supply only the domain name then you will not receive Email from anyone at that domain.
- Close the filters window and save the changes.
Netscape Communicator
- Open Netscape Communicator, and go to the Email window.
- Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Message Filters."
- Click the "New" button to create a new filter.
- Enter a name for the filter into the "Filter Name" box.
- Select the "Match any of the following" option.
- Select "Sender" from the drop menu.
- Select "Contains" from the next drop menu.
- Enter the Email sender (ie, joe@hotmail.com) into the text box. You can also block an entire domain by not specifying the user (ie, hotmail.com). Remember if you supply only the domain name then you will not receive Email from ANYONE at that domain.
- Select "delete" from the third drop menu.
- Click "OK" to save the filter.
