Email Software Configuration

Netscape 6 Email Configuration

1. Open the Netscape 6 Browser.
   
2. Select "Tasks" from the top menu bar.
   
3. Select "Mail" from the drop down menu. View Screen Shot
   
4. Select "Edit" from the top menu bar
   
5. Select "Mail/News Account Settings." View Screen Shot
   
6. Click the "New Account" button on the bottom left. View Screen Shot
   
7. Select "ISP or email provider."
   
8. Click the "Next" button. View Screen Shot
   
9. Enter your name in the "Your Name:" field.
   
10. Next enter your email address, the one that was provided to you by Coastside Net, in the "Email Address:" field.

12. Make sure the "Server Type:" selection is "POP Mail Server."
    
13. Enter "mail.coastside.net" as the incoming server in the "Server Name:" field.

15. Enter an account name in the "Account Name:" field. This can be anything that will identify this account, your email address would be a good choice. View Screen Shot
    
16. Click the "Finish" button. View Screen Shot
    
17. In the left portion of the window click on "Outgoing (SMTP) Server" to highlight it.
    
18. In the right portion of the screen enter "smtp.costside.net" in the "Server Name:" field.
    
19. Click the "OK" button and you are done. View Screen Shot
