Email Software Configuration

Netscape 6 Email Configuration

1. Open the Netscape 6 Browser.
   
2. Select "Tasks" from the top menu bar.
   
3. Select "Mail" from the drop down menu.

1. Select "Edit" from the top menu bar
   
2. Select "Mail/News Account Settings".

1. Click the "New Account" button on the bottom left.

1. Select "ISP or email provider."
   
2. Click the "Next" button.

1. Enter your name in the "Your Name:" field.
   
2. Next enter your email address, the one that was provided to you by Coastside Net, in the "Email Address:" field.
   
3. Next click the "Next" button.

1. Make sure the "Server Type:" selection is "POP Mail Server".
   
2. Enter "mail.coastside.net" as the incoming server in the "Server Name:" field.
   
3. Click the "Next" button.

1. Enter an account name in the "Account Name:" field. This can be anything that will identify this account, your email address would be a good choice.

1. Click the "Finish" button.

1. In the left portion of the window click on "Outgoing (SMTP) Server" to highlight it.
   
2. In the right portion of the screen enter "smtp.costside.net" in the "Server Name:" field.
   
3. Click the "OK" button and you are done.
