Email Software Configuration

Outlook Express for Macintosh Email Configuration

  1. Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts."


  2. In the "Accounts" window click on the "New" button.


  3. Enter your name in the "Display name" field.
  4. Click the arrow in the bottom right corner to go to page 2.


  5. Click the "I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use." button.
  6. Enter your coaside.net email address in the "E-mail address:" field.
  7. Click the arrow in the bottom right corner to go to page 3.


  8. Select "POP" from the "My incoming mail server is a(n)" list.
  9. Enter "mail.coastside.net" in the "Incoming mail (POP, IMAP) server:" field.
  10. Enter "smtp.coastside.net" in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" field.
  11. Click the arrow in the bottom right corner to go to page 4.


  12. Enter your username in the "Account ID:" field.
  13. Enter your password in the "Password:" field.
  14. If you do not wish to enter your password everytime you check mail, check the "Save password" check box.
  15. Click the arrow in the bottom right corner to go to page 5.


  16. Enter a description for the account you just created in the "Account name:" field.
  17. Click the "Include this account in my 'Send & Recieve All' schedule" check box if you wish to include this account in your "Send & Recieve All" schedule.
  18. Click "Finish."
