Netscape Communicator (Version 4.5-5.x) Email Configuration

- Go to the "Edit" Menu and "Select Preferences."

- Find "Mail & Newsgroups" on the lefthand side. If you do not see the subcatagories (starting with "Identity") then double click on "Mail & Newsgroups" to display them.
- Click "Identity", located on the lefthand side. Enter Your Name and Email address into the appropriate boxes.

- Click "Mail Servers", located on the lefthand side.
- Click the "Add" button, located on the top righthand side. (If there is already a mail server listed you will have to use the "Edit" button instead.)

- Enter "mail.coastside.net" into the "Server Name:" field.
- Select "POP3 Server" from the "Server Type:" menu.
- Enter your full email address into the "User Name:" field.
- If you wish to have your password saved click the "Save password" checkbox.
- Click "Ok" to close the window.

- Enter "smtp.coastside.net" into the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" field.
- The "Outgoing mail server user name" can be left blank or as "default."
- Click on "OK" to close the preferences window and save changes.
