Setting Up Your Dial-up Connection

Configuring Dial-up for Mac OS X

1. Select a local telephone number - Click Here
   
   
2. Select "System Preferences" from the Dock at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
3. Select the "Network" control panel. View Screen Shot
   
   
4. Select "Internal Modem" (or your modem model) from the "Show" drop down menu.
   
   
5. Select "PPP" from the "Configure" drop down menu.
   
   
6. Click on the "PPP" tab (just below the "Show" drop down menu). View Screen Shot
   
   
7. Enter "Coastside Net" into the "Service Provider" box.
   
   
8. Enter your Coastside Net username into the "Account Name" box.
   
   
9. Enter your Coastside Net password into the "Password" box.
   
   
10. Enter the dial-up access number you selected into the "Telephone Number" box.
    
    
11. Optional: Enter a second access number into the "Alternate Number" box.
    
    
12. Click the "Save Password" checkbox if you do not want to enter your password each time.
    
    
13. Click the "Apply Now" button and close the Network control panel.

You have successfully completed the dial-up configuration.
