Setting Up Your Dial-up Connection

Configuring Dial-up for Mac OS 8.5 and Later

1. Select a local telephone number - Click Here
   
   
2. Go to the "Apple Menu," select "Control Panel" then "TCP/IP."
   
   
3. Select "PPP" from the "Connect via:" drop menu. View Screen Shot
   
   
4. Select "Using PPP Server" from the "Configure:" drop menu.
   
   
5. Close the "TCP/IP" Control Panel and click "Save" to save Changes.
   
   
6. Go to the "Apple Menu," select "Control Panel" then "Remote Access..
   
   
7. Enter your Coastside Net username into the "Name" box.
   
   
8. Enter your Coastside Net password into the "Password" box.
   
   
9. Enter the local access phone number you selected from Step 1 into the "Number" box.
   
   
10. Check the "Save Password" option checkbox if you do not want to enter your password each time you connect.
    
    
11. Close the Remote Access control panel and click "Save" to save changes.

You have successfully completed the dial-up configuration.
